Rewinding back to 2017 when I was filling out my business plan- it came to the part about the Tagline!
I had no idea what a Tagline even was, so once I found out that it’s basically the one line that accompanies your business logo and appears on everything, everywhere your business has been, I wanted it be something that was true to my word, not some catchy jingle that sounded corny!
It didn’t just come to me like a lightbulb moment, I really had to dig deep into the reasons why the hell I was about to do which was startup a business from scratch, but after a while, it became clear to me that I didn’t just want to have a hand in flowers all day everyday and have a pretty job, it was because I have always drawn inspiration from nature, just the way it is, and I use that as a platform in my style of flowers.
In nature, nothing is symmetrical, everything is off centre just a little bit, or completely whack in its shape. I LOVE that! It reflects my personality in a way, completely imperfect, but beautiful, and I love to be able to outlay that in my work.
You know when you go to a restaurant and get a steak that’s cooked well done, and then the next place you go will have a well done steak that’s probably fraying at the edges from being so overcooked?
Well I feel like that analogy could be applied to florists as well, as in we all do the same thing, but differently.
Theres a total (quiet) confidence in knowing the niche within your work that you can really slay at.
For me, it’s bringing together peoples visions that appeal to my nature-inspired imagination.
So many brides come to me and say they want something that’s not too tight; not traditional, like nice and loose with that big round leaf that you use, and I can know straight away that what they want is a big beautiful boho bouquet with the signature Bluegum I just love to use.
It’s all about getting to know what the client wants, and using my your own abilities and inspirations, to help THEIR visions come together.
If you’d like to share in my journey a little bit more, please follow my Instagram page or FB, and even Pinterest because I am a bit of a Pinterest Queen and I love to be able to share my own work on there, as well as use content relative to my brand such as wellbeing, mindset and boho inspired pics for everyone.
Thanks for sharing in this tiny part of what’s been a big journey already so far!
